Chief Operating Officer
Peter was one of the founding members of WorldWide Logistics in 1999 along with Gary Alvord the former President and Co-Chairman of Ruan Transportation Management Systems. Peter was integral in the conceptual development of the company and its current operating system.
Peter has served WorldWide Logistics in several roles since the inception including Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Sales. Peter’s current role is that of Chief Operating Officer where he has responsibility for value added and brokerage operations and sales. Peter is also a member of WorldWide’s Executive Steering Team which is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization.
Prior to starting WorldWide, Peter spent 17 plus years at Ruan Transportation Management Systems where he held various positions including: Regional Manager for the Northeast and Manager of Mega Quality Improvement. At Ruan, Peter was involved in the design, implementation and training of a continuous quality improvement program, design and setup of supply chain load management systems, design and setup of multiple dedicated contract carriage operations. Peter along with Gary Alvord was pivotal in securing and implementing one of the largest steel logistics projects in the industry.
Educated in methods and processes of Deming, Goldratt and Covey, Peter also holds a B.A. degree in Finance and Accounting from Iowa State University.
Peter is a past member and has been a guest lecturer at the Ohio Quality and Productivity and Forum and recently was a guest lecturer at Iowa State University in their supply chain curriculum.
